Casting Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Reboot

7. Quark - Toby Jones

Toby Jones Hunger Games
Fox

To play Quark, an actor needs to be able to express under heavy make-up. Armin Shimerman was the perfect choice for the character as he managed to make the nefarious con artist into a lovable rogue - something that it would be a crying shame to lose as an aspect of the character.

Toby Jones has been knocking it out of the park in his roles throughout his career. While many audiences would have known his voice before his face - he voiced Dobby in the Harry Potter movies - this British actor has certainly got the presence to take charge of a scene.

He knows how to play meek and turn it around. Think of his turn in The Mist, where his mild-mannered shop clerk ends up snapping. He was able to command in Dad's Army and his villainous role of Arnim Zola should be enough to convince people that he can pull off devious when needed.

Bagging him would be a win!
