Casting Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Reboot

16. Damar - Burn Gorman

The Expanse Season 4 Burn Gorman

Glinn/Gul/Legate Damar was fantastically realised by Casey Biggs. The growth that the character goes through is immense throughout the four seasons that he appears in, so taking on that role has to come with a big slice of talent.

Burn Gorman made a splash with his arrival in Torchwood, as the untrustworthy Eoin. While he wasn't a bad guy through and through and there, he certainly knew how to portray an anti-hero. Later, with his roles in Game of Thrones, The Dark Knight Rises and The Expanse, he has showed that he can deliver range.

Damar rises from a sycophant to a resistance leader and portraying that needs to be done carefully. If this fantasy reboot exists in a world of unlimited budgets but presumably shorter series, he will have less time to develop and selling that change needs to be done by an actor who can deliver the goods.

Burn Gorman is certainly that actor!
