Castlevania Season 3: 11 Reasons You Should Watch

1. The Animation And Visuals

There's very little to say about the animation that can't be explained by just seeing it in action. The animation from seasons one and two were definitely something to write home about, especially in the well-choreographed and utterly enthralling fight scenes, but the animators seemed to want to top themselves in season 3, not just in the amazing fights, but also in the quiet moments where more time is given to breathe and take in the scenery.

Parts of the season are almost Ghibli-esque in their quiet, with shots of beautiful painted landscapes and mouthwatering food giving it a meditative air oft forgotten by more frenetic and fast paced animated series.

During conversations, even with limited movement, none of the characters feel wooden or left out, with bright eyes and decisive expressions that charges moments up with tension.

And of course, the action scenes are far beyond what we've seen before, with ambitious creative direction and gorgeous 2D movement with well-integrated 3D mixed in to give many shots more depth, or make extra-complicated shots easier to execute with more kinetic camera movement to match the pace of the scene.
