Castlevania Season 3: 11 Reasons You Should Watch
3. The Characters
While old characters continue to shine, the series' OG heroes got put through the ringer, Hector was brought low, Isaac got the protagonist treatment, others in the cast present fantastic and nuanced personalities, and there's spectacular character development all round. Season 3 really uses what little screentime each person has to make the biggest impact.
Carmilla's "sisters" and co-rulers of her court are surprisingly "human", acting like loved ones and friends with compliments and jabs alike, comedic and terrifying in turns. The romance between Morana and Striga is surprisingly sweet, and their affection for Carmilla almost makes you forget how fantastically vile she is. Lenore makes for a compelling character, clearly the sweetest of the lot, but proving herself, in some ways, the worst of all of them.
The character of the Judge proves competent and likeable, while maintaining some level of oddness about him, which seems at first par for the course for the strangeness of everything happening around him.
The newly introduced Saint Germain provides way more questions than answers, a charming and intriguing conman that opens doors to many new possibilities.
