Castlevania Season 3: 11 Reasons You Should Watch
4. The Action
The action in seasons 1 and 2 already set the bar high, but season 3 brings in some ridiculously spectacular action sequences that make you wonder how they'll top themselves in coming seasons.
One episode that deserves mention for its intense action is episode 9, where everything happens at once and both Isaac's storyline and the events in Lindenfeld bring about some of the most stunning and hyperkinetic sequences in the entire series.
Isaac's story presents some elements from the game brought to life in visuals more impressive than anything from the source material, with Isaac himself showing his prowess as a fighter and forgemaster.
The anime influences also pop in these instances, and whether intentional or coincidental, there's a portion where Isaac rides up on a night creature horse that feels almost like an episode of Attack on Titan.
The best action, however, comes from Trevor and Sypha, with their scenes so intricate and frenetic that the animation team brought in some CGI to give their fights more complex staging, woven seamlessly in with the gorgeous 2D. Sypha, especially, with her aerial combat and Avatar-style elemental bending, really opens up a world of possibilities for future action setpieces.
