Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina: Part 3 Review - 6 Ups & 4 Downs
3. Same Old Blackwood
Faustus Blackwood rather shockingly made it out of the previous installment alive and well, setting up a narrative for both Prudence and Ambrose in Part 3, as they attempted to track him down and kill him. Though they quickly succeeded in the first part of that plan, their refusal to dispose of him predictably resulted in a major backfire as he became Lucifer's vessel before the pair were separated and he, well, went full Blackwood... again.
The character was used rather sparingly this time which, given that we were getting an evil caricature with little realistic goals, should have been a good thing. But this only succeeded in portraying him as just that.
An angry, misogynistic, power-hungry Blackwood who just refuses to learn from his mistakes (instead of remaking them) isn't all that interesting, so by the time his grand plan reaches it climax, it's hard to care.
