3. Is The Monitor Really Dead?
In a shocking turn of events, the Anti-Monitor took control of Lyla Michaels' body and utilised Harbinger's abilities to take out all of the heroes aboard the Waverider. However, before he reignited the wave of antimatter, he unleashed a wave of energy on The Monitor and though Mar Novu attempted to fight back with his own wave, he was overpowered and eventually succumbed to his evil other-half.
The Monitor played a significant role in last season's crossover (Elseworlds), and has been something of a haunting presence ever since, so the idea that he's been killed off so soon likely won't sit too well with some fans. But that doesn't necessarily mean that he's gone for good. If anyone can survive the onslaught of a celestial being, it's surely another celestial being.
With the Paragons still alive and Oliver Queen's new role as something else, it's highly likely that a lot of this multiverse madness will be undone in the concluding parts, but will the heroes be able to bring The Monitor back?
