Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 9: 8 Times Larry David Was A Social Assassin

2. "Wendy Wheelchair?"

Larry begins dating a woman in a wheelchair, after which he quickly discovers that his own 'tolerance' increases society's towards his particular nuances. A usually scornful Ted Danson finds a new found respect for his pal, and previously slighted acquaintances are forced to change their tune, stumbling over themselves to demonstrate their own magnanimity. The upshot is an invitation to a private Chee-yun concert with his new belle.

There's just one problem: Larry failed to note his girlfriend's surname, instead registering her in his Blackberry under the epithet 'Denise Handicapped'. When his mobile device takes a one-way swim into the ocean, he's left with no recourse - unless, that is, he can rustle up another woman in a wheelchair to act as his date.

And so he does - but Larry doesn't anticipate the resourcefulness of his jilted mate. Come the concert: 'Denise Handicapped', meet 'Wendy Wheelchair'. It's a social misstep of a stride the Colossus of Rhodes would be proud, and our hapless hero suffers a deserved beating from Rosie O'Donnell for his troubles.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
