6. Zog Gets Shot

When Bean returns home from Steamland (more on that later) with a pistol (more on that later too) a scuffle causes her to accidentally shoot Zog in the chest. This sets in motion the much larger plot that's been brewing in the background, with Odval finally attempting to seize control of the throne for himself.
It may well have lasting repercussions for Dreamland moving forward too. King Zog is in a bad state and may either die or be in no condition to rule, while Derek is so dim witted and impulsive that he'd make a very poor leader. He is shown to have some empathy, but with the power the throne brings, Odval whispering in his ear and no Oona around, conditions are rife for him to be corrupted too.
More than that though, while everyone (or almost everyone, as we'll soon get to) believes the gun is a magic wand, it's not beyond the relams of possibility that someone could figure out how to use it again.
This half season tried much harder to build bridges between Zog and Bean, and it largely paid off. As she tries to heal his wound, he seems genuinely proud. A lot of possibilities for Season Two.
