Doctor Who Christmas Special Spoilers: 6 Things The Sun Have Ruined

4. The 300 Year Weeping Angels War

weeping angel Presumably mightily ticked off by the loss of his leg, the Doctor will then embark on a mammoth 300 year war against the Weeping Angels, as well as a host of other iconic Who villains - more of whom later... The Doctor pitches up in Christmas Town - initially in the clock tower - to protect the place from sustained, lengthy attacks by the Weeping Angels and their deadly allies. Quite how The Silence fit into the grand scheme of things remains to be seen, as The Sun conspicuously fail to mention them in the spoilerific run-down, despite their appearance on the poster, but it would be a good bet that they have something to do with the bell that tolls across the galaxy that draws The Doctor and his enemies to Trenzalore. There's also no hint of why the Doctor is forced to protect Christmas Town, but presumably whatever is causing the bell to toll is revealed to be something that his enemies want enough to wage a war of 300 years.
