2. The Time Crack Conundrum Will Be Solved

According to the Sun's report, we will finally get an answer to one of the most enduring and intriguing elements in modern Who history. As well as the high-octane action promised, and the eye-catching line-up, the episode will also solve the conundrum of the mysterious cracks in time that have caused fans some serious puzzlement since their first appearance back in series five. The cracks were caused by the Time Lords when the Doctor saved Gallifrey in the 50th anniversary special. They of course range in size, and are caused by two points in time that should never touch coming into contact with each other. Presumably, given their ability to wipe out specific events from history, the crack that appears in the Christmas special will prove the solution to either wiping out the 300 year war between the Doctor and his enemies, or at least solving some collateral damage. At the climax of the episode, a time crack will appear in the sky, as the Doctor faces off against the Daleks in what promises to be an exhilarating scene. And through that time crack, we'll see more familiar characters, who will themselves solve a logistical problem that has blighted modern Doctor Who writers, and specifically, the looming end of the Doctor's pool of regenerations...
