Doctor Who Review: Time Heist - 5 Ways The Check Was Cashed (And Bounced)

4. Debit: The Pacing

Timeheist04 Timing is everything. The director, in a true act of heroism, tried to keep things moving along. The plot, however, brought things to a shuddering, groaning stop every time the story picked up the least amount of speed. The scene where our intrepid band of bank robbers separates and runs from the Teller is much too long, and brings the middle of the episode down to a crawl. Is there a recurring theme of thievery this series? In this episode we€™re robbing a bank. €œDeep Breath€ featured a robot who stole human parts. €œRobot of Sherwood€ is centered on the greatest thief of myth and legend. Missy keeps popping up and stealing people off to heaven. The Doctor ahem - acquired a TARDIS. Steven Moffat is famous for his red herrings of course but it€™s interesting to speculate if there is some sort of connection.
