Doctor Who: 10 Animated Characters Who Would Make Great Companions

6. Philip J. Fry (Futurama)

fry Fry was a native to the 20th century who was cryogenically frozen seconds into the year 2000, having fallen in to the freezing machine just as 1999 ended. He was revived in 2999, and subsequently became a delivery boy for the Planet Express Company. Fry is generally very lazy in his job, spending most of his time in the office sitting on the couch, watching TV, and drinking 'Slurm'. This laziness has caused him to miss several delivery missions. He is often immature which causes him to get into tricky situations, usually forcing his friend Leela to rescue him. Despite this, he is a good man who loves his friends and his experience of different time periods, aliens and robots should not be overlooked. He might seem to be nothing more than an annoyance to the Doctor at first, but he would ultimately prove his worth, as he done so many times before, and be a highly useful companion.
