Doctor Who: 10 Best Tenth Doctor Episodes

4. Army of Ghosts/Doomsday

This is the finale I will always remember. Maybe its because of the Dalek-Cybermen War, maybe its because its Rose's final appearance for two years, or maybe its because its just so well written and executed, the reason just can't be pinned down. The mystery of Torchwood is finally solved, and the subsequent conflict between the Daleks and Cybermen makes for one of the best moments in the shows entire history. It was in magazines, on posters, on adverts, everywhere, and yet it overshadowed one thing - the 'death' of Rose Tyler and the exit of, in my opinion, the Tenth Doctor's best companion. The episode screams epic, and shows both action, drama, and emotion all in one package. The final meeting at Bad Wolf Bay is one of the moving moments of the show which can't, or won't, be forgotten, and the final words the Doctor gives to Rose have been theorized and debated on for years since (it was eventually confirmed he confessed his love for her). The 2006 Finale will be the one I always remember, closing plotlines, starting new ones, showcasing a fantastic battle between to memorable foes, and saying goodbye to Rose Tyler, this was a real parting of the ways.

Me? I'm 17 years old, from Dawlish, Devon and studying (tirelessly) at Exeter College. I love pretty much anything, am a fan of numerous TV programmes and films, countless books and topics, from Sherlock to the Cold War, Doctor Who to Muse and my ambition is to become a journalist in any field which I have an interest in, and I hope to show my opinions (although varied) to the full.
