3. Henry Van Statten - Dalek

The first series of the rebooted Doctor Who presented us with many flawed characters that made mistakes. Clueless Adam attempted to steal future technology and got himself kicked off the Tardis as a result. Poor Rose tried to save her dad and unleashed the Reapers on her own family. Worse still was the arrogant Henry van Statten, a collector of fine artifacts who thought keeping a Dalek as a trophy was a good idea. Admittedly he might not have realised just how dangerous his trophy was. But given that his mantra was to mine alien relics to create new technologies on Earth, he should have had some clue of what he was working with. Ignorance can only go so far though; he chained up the Dalek and tortured it and when it broke free two hundred of his personnel died. His arrogance and cowardice destroyed his company, got his staff killed and almost unleashed an unstoppable alien menace on the people of Utah. Having his mind wiped and left on the streets was a fitting end to his career...
