6. He Once Asked To Be President Of The Doctor Who Fan Club

As mentioned in the last entry, Capaldi has been a life long fan of Doctor Who. And by that he means he is a proper 100% fanatic. At age 14, Capaldi rigorously attempted to claim the role of president of the show's official fan club. Unfortunately the role went to someone else but the future Doctor did not give up and continued to send letters, vying for the position. The secretary dealing with his letters got so annoyed with the persistent Peter she said that she wished "the Daleks or someone would exterminate him". Hard luck, Peter! Move forward several decades, though, and Capaldi is not only the Doctor but in a recent episode became President, not of the Doctor Who fan club, but of the whole entire Earth. Looks like Peter won out in the end.
