Doctor Who: 10 More Things You Never Knew About Peter Capaldi

7. He Played a WHO Doctor in World War Z

With his life long love of Doctor Who and his previous appearances in its spin off Torchwood and the show itself, it seems like Peter Capaldi was always destined to play the Doctor. If that evidence doesn't convince you, though, this next fact may just do the job. In 2013 zombie film World War Z, Peter Capaldi turns up towards the film's close as a scientist from the World Health Organisation who helps Brad Pitt's main character find a cure for the zombie virus. On its own there's nothing weird about this but wait for the credits and you'll see that Capaldi is credited as 'WHO Doctor'. And there you have it. Is this merely a coincidence? Perhaps Peter took the role as a fun nod to his status as a Doctor Who fan? Or maybe this is definitive proof that the universe has always really wanted Capaldi to be the Doctor? The truth is out there.
