3. The Knitted Pensioner
Every Doctor has that one thing that really makes their outfit stand out. Tom Baker's thing was his scarf. That 20ft long scarf that somehow didn't trip him up or get caught in doorways! The last time we had one on a Doctor was with Sylvester McCoy, who wore it around the neck of his jacket. It really wasn't a major feature of his Doctor though, so perhaps it's time for a Doctor with another? The above picture shows Capaldi in a knitted scarf that looks like it could be as long as Baker's and really suits him. The knitted cardigan he wears with it suits him as well, and with Capaldi's age, perhaps he'll take on the look of one of our country's old age pensioners? It's certainly a look he can pull off. And if he's a darker Doctor he could probably channel that old grumpy guy that lives down the street who shouts at the kids if they hang about outside his garden.
