Doctor Who: 10 Reasons To Miss The Eleventh Doctor

4. An Alien Side

doctorWhoSeries7b01 The Doctor is an alien with two hearts and 27 brains (maybe). But all too often, with all too many Doctors, it's so easy to forget that. The Doctor's our friend: he loves humanity. He might as well be one of us, right? The alien side of Eleven has always been at the forefront of the character though. Not only does this make for a more mysterious character, who discovers tears of joy and the humanness of Auton Rory, but it accentuates the role of the companion. It's much more necessary to have a warm human alongside Eleven; for those calling for more gender equality in the show, you could argue that the role of women has never been more vital. And isn't it more exciting and unpredictable when the Doctor's alien side rears its head? No one wants an actual 26-year-old from Northampton rummaging through their freezer for fish fingers. I for one would phone the police.
