7. Knowing Moffat, It Will Actually Impact The Plot
One of Moffats strengths is using the medium to reflect and enhance the story. This harkens back to Blink, his most legendary story to date. You know how the Angels couldnt move even when there was no one else on the screen? Thats because
you as an audience member were watching them, meaning the Angels were aware of the audience. Heck, the Doctor even address the audience at the end of the episode with clips of local statues that could very potentially be Angels. Creepy, right? Well, not even Moffat can resist using a gimmick it it's fullest. I can just see it now: The TARDIS gets all shaky-cam and Clara mentions that she feels odd, slightly bulgy for some reason. The Doctor then proceeds to techno babble about how theyve hit some sort of multidimensional rift that projected them beyond the typical three dimensions, or something. Cue the Doctor awkwardly flailing his limbs in front of the screen to demonstrate. Cue everyone watching rolling their eyes. Also, something will probably bounce around the TARDIS (and the screen) as they try to contain it. We look at our watches and wonder where our lives are going.
