8. The Ghosts Attack
One of the most nerve-wracking moments about the Doctor and Clara's arrival at the base is that you don't quite know what the ghosts are going to do. As they move into the hanger bay and investigate the small ship, the ghosts stand silently watching them.
And when the ghost of Moran does attack it is violent and unexpected. The idea behind most ghosts is they they might terrify you but they can't harm you. These ghosts are different and the moment Moran grabs that axe you know everyone on the base is in grave danger. Climbing through walls, rising through the floor, it certainly raises the stakes - and the hairs on the back of your neck - for the rest of the episode.
