Doctor Who: 10 Things Russell T. Davies NEEDS To Do

1. One Hell Of A 60th Birthday Party

Dr Who Time War
BBC

For the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who, Steven Moffat treated the audience to three Doctors, the Time War, a regeneration, and a Curator. Quite frankly, it was tremendous, which means the expectations for the 60th Anniversary are going to be high.

This will likely be Davies' big statement in his return to the show. If he follows the advice of this article, which he surely will, then the audience may expect huge explosions, crossovers with the classic era, some clues and hints for future stories, and more. If however, Davies decides to write it himself, then this writer can only hope for the best!

But one thing is certain - the anniversary special should be exactly that - special. It will serve as a tribute to the last 60 years while offering hope for another 60 to come. No small task, but one that Davies is probably more than up to the task of achieving. His writing exploits over the time he has spent away from Doctor Who has remained extremely strong, so it is with a lot of hope and optimism that we look forward to his return and the 60th anniversary of the longest-running sci-fi series in the world.
