4. Weddings Galore!
While the Doctor's uncle may not have married, the Doctor themselves has got hitched multiple times.
The First Doctor unwittingly proposed to an Aztec woman due to not understanding their specific customs, but his later selves have gone the whole hog.
The Day of the Doctor depicted the Tenth Doctor's wedding to Queen Elizabeth I, while the Eleventh Doctor accidentally got engaged – and married – to Marilyn Monroe in A Christmas Carol. However, he later claimed that the ceremony was a sham as the chapel wasn't legitimate, which just sounds like a lazy excuse doesn't it?
The Husbands of River Song also revealed that an unidentified incarnation of the Doctor had married Cleopatra, although since River Song posed as Cleopatra in The Pandorica Opens, maybe the Doctor can get away with that one.
As far as we can tell, the Doctor has never been formally divorced from any of these women. Though perhaps "until death do us part" is less of an issue when you have a time machine that can just skip to the end.
And then there's River herself, who married the Doctor in the appropriately-titled The Wedding of River Song. After years of meeting each other in a wibbly-wobbly order, the two lived happily ever after on Darillium... for about 24 years, until River had to pay a visit to the Library.
