Doctor Who: 10 Things You Never Knew About Series 3 Of NuWho
6. Cat's Out Of The Bag
Here's a tidbit of tantalising trivia that will throw a cat among the pigeons! This list has already mentioned actors who have returned to the Whoniverse in different roles and here's another example you might have missed. Adjoa Andoh, who had a recurring presence in Series 3 as Martha Jones' mum Francine, was no stranger to Doctor Who having previously appeared in the somewhat more unrecognisable role as Sister Jatt in Series 2's New Earth a year earlier. The actress went from playing one of the sinister Sisters of Plentitude, who were harbouring their own species of diseased human clones to discover every medicine known to man, to the mother of the Doctor's new companion who was in secret cahoots with Harold Saxon to ensure her daughter's safety. One of her characters got to slap the Doctor, too, and you can probably guess which one, can't you? (Hint: It wasn't the one with the claws!)
