Georgia Tennant's (née Moffett) strong and sassy character became an instant fan favourite following her one and so far only appearance in The Doctor's Daughter. This naturally led to us expecting she would return at some point in the near future.

Nope.

Jenny has featured on several WhoCulture lists and videos that have left us wondering as to her whereabouts in the universe. Even worse, former showrunner Russell T Davies jokingly killed her off-screen, telling his successor, Steven Moffat, that Jenny "flew straight into a moon" after leaving the planet Messaline. But in the spirit of Jenny, Tennant wasn't having any of it and fired off a "WTF?" email to the pair.

The "sheer perseverance", as Tennant called it, to bring Jenny back finally paid off with Big Finish in 2018, a full decade on from her TV appearance. She effortlessly somersaults her way back into character like she never went away, and even avoids crashing into a moon. Fancy that!

She's also expressed that it "would be pretty cool" to team up Jodie Whittaker's Doctor... "Hello Mum!"
