Unbeknownst to many fans, the Doctor Who and Eastenders universes once clashed in an epic crossover event that's definitely up there with the likes of Avengers: Infinity War and The Day of the Doctor in terms of its ambition.

Dimensions in Time was produced as a charity special in 1993, and featured five Doctors, countless companions, and a host of familiar faces from Eastenders.

Joking aside, it wasn't very good, but since it was broadcast after Doctor Who's 1989 cancellation, it was one of the only notable (and only new) bits of content for fans of the show to enjoy during this time, and amusingly, Harness actually tried to make the special canon while writing the script for The Zygon Invasion.

On Twitter, he shared a scene that didn't make it into the episode, one which contains a reference to "Big Ron", an Eastenders character who debuted in 1985.
