8. The Village Set Was Used In Matt Smith's Final Episode
That tunnel wasn't the only reused location in this episode.
Towards the end, there's a sequence where the Doctor infiltrates a Zygon-occupied village, with a group of UNIT soldiers in tow. This scene was filmed at the Sennybridge Training Area, a military training site located in Wales.
As indicated by Harness, this area was previously seen in Matt Smith's final episode, The Time of the Doctor. Here, it doubled as the town called Christmas, which the Doctor dedicates hundreds of years of his life to protecting.
