Doctor Who: 20 Faces That Epitomise The Eleventh Doctor

4. The Angels Take Manhattan

Yep, this is one of those rare moments that the Eleventh Doctor well and truly let his emotions get the better of him... and then some. Let's be honest, though, after the heartbreaking events of The Angels Take Manhattan, who can really blame him? After all, he'd just lost Amy and Rory under gut-wrenching circumstances at the hands of the Weeping Angels and it's safe to say that he found the whole affair rather difficult to come to terms with indeed, so much so that he ended up parking the TARDIS over the skies of Victorian London and becoming an unapproachable recluse until further notice. Bless him. It hit him hard. Thank God Clara was around to guide him out of the darkness, eh? Sometimes, though, it just all gets too much for our beloved Time Lord and in moments like this, the nation is right at his side crying along with him. There wasn't a dry eye in the house.
