16. 'Save Someone' - The Fires Of Pompeii

The fearlessly feisty Donna Noble was well and truly thrown into the deep end on her first TARDIS adventure when she and the Tenth Doctor found themselves in Pompeii in 79AD on the eve of Mount Vesuvius' historic eruption. Suffice to say, she found the realisation that 2,000 people were about to buried under millions of tons of volcanic ash particularly difficult to comprehend, forcing the Doctor to save someone as the very least he could do. Luckily, it just so happened to be the future Twelfth Doctor, so he definitely made the right choice!
