1. "The Original, You Might Say" (1963 - 1976)

The original console room lasted an astounding 16 years (although it went through a few small changes, but the console itself remained mostly the same) and also survived the first four of the Doctors regenerations. Originally the 'Home' of the first Doctor and his granddaughter Susan Foreman, this TARDIS interior was forced into by school teachers Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright, setting The Doctor off on a path that would lead him all the way to the man in a bow-tie we know and love today. As with most of the other interiors, it was investigated and other areas were shown heavily on screen. For it's sheer originality and the fact it's the very first, means that it comes in at number 5 on our list. Well folks, there we have it: 5 of the best TARDIS console rooms.
