Doctor Who: 7 Most Memorable Moments Of Wilfred Mott

6. Supporting Donna's Dream (Partners In Crime)

Ever since rejecting The Tenth Doctor's offer to travel with him at the end of The Runaway Bride, Donna Noble found herself regretting that choice. She has a habit of missing life's big moments, and now believes she may have missed the biggest opportunity she was ever going to have, and dreams of finding The Doctor again.

Donna's mother, Sylvia, scoffs at her daughter's newfound dreaminess, but her grandfather Wilf, an avid stargazer, encourages Donna's wish to reunite with The Doctor and travel through time and space. He even promises to let her know if he sees a Blue Box while stargazing.

This leads to a sweet moment at the end of 'Partners in Crime', when, after finding The Doctor again and agreeing to travel with him, Donna has The Doctor hover the the Tardis over her back garden so Wilf can see her. Wilf's pure joy at Donna's success is one of the most heartwarming moments of the Tenth Doctor era, and established the character as an immediate fan favourite.
