1. A New Doctor
When it comes to the portrayal of the Doctor I dont care about reproductive systems or how much pigment is present in skin. I want the actor to inhabit the role in a way that is entirely their own while still respecting the essence of the character. That takes creativity, brains and heart the rest is superfluous. Arguing about the sex and/or ethnicity of the character misses the point. Its the energy that matters an intellectual curiosity, an individual flair. All thats required of the audience is an open mind. Doctor Who is a show that forces you to re-examine your perceptions because the character and his companions are constantly changing. That is a very good thing.
