Doctor Who: 7 Wishes For Season 8

1. A New Doctor

When it comes to the portrayal of the Doctor I don€™t care about reproductive systems or how much pigment is present in skin. I want the actor to inhabit the role in a way that is entirely their own while still respecting the essence of the character. That takes creativity, brains and heart €“ the rest is superfluous. Arguing about the sex and/or ethnicity of the character misses the point. It€™s the energy that matters €“an intellectual curiosity, an individual flair. All that€™s required of the audience is an open mind. Doctor Who is a show that forces you to re-examine your perceptions because the character and his companions are constantly changing. That is a very good thing.
