Speculation always reaches fever pitch when it comes to the identity of the next Doctor and Be The Red Carpet took advantage of the buzz back on April Fool's Day 2013 when they exclusively revealed that Twilight star Robert Pattinson had been cast as the twelfth incarnation of the titular Time Lord. The news created such a stir that the BBC included it in a round up of the day's most successful pranks but it turned out to be false when Peter Capaldi was announced as the Doctor a matter of months later. But that goes without saying, really.
