The Daleks are finally seen in proper action, screaming out “prepare for maximum extermination!” Whether they do much damage is questionable, as recent Dalek stories have shown them to be less ruthless than they were in the Russel T Davies era, but it’s better to give Chris Chibnall the benefit of the doubt.

Their redesign is also shown off further here, with them glowing red now as they soar through the sky, shooting red laser beams. A Dalek ship was also seen lurking in the sky slightly before this, so it’s evident that we’ll be seeing a whole lot more of them in this episode.
