Appearing alongside the sixth and seventh Doctors in two classic series stories, the Rani is a renegade Time Lady with a penchant for tricking the Doctor. After the untimely death of her original portrayer Kate OMara, a new actress may have been sought to reintroduced this classic Time Lady. Some think the round water feature evident in the netherspheres garden could be the control panel of the Ranis TARDIS. That one is a bit of a stretch. Whilst we think the Moff would love to introduce some new Time Lords (after Gallifrey was saved, this makes it extremely likely) the Rani probably isn't one of those which he wants to return. Last year the Moff stated that he believed the Rani wasnt as well known as other classic series foes to bring back - so he probably wont be bringing her back. That said, the Macra anybody? Exactly. And rule number one is the Moff lies. The Rani coming back would be one of the biggest twists in new-Who. Whilst we all probably want her to return, nobody will really expect her to do so. Time will tell, but this one has potential.
