Doctor Who Cast: Where Are They Now?

2. David Tennant

Doctor Who Cast
BBC

The Role: Arguably the most popular Doctor of the new series, David Tennant's charismatic Tenth incarnation guided the show to new heights from 2005 all the way to 2010. He also returned, opposite Matt Smith and John Hurt, in The Day Of The Doctor.

Where Is He Now? While he will never have another role more beloved than the Doctor (and as a huge Doctor Who fan, he's probably fine with that) in 2013 Tennant was lucky enough to land himself another leading role in a hugely popular show when he was cast as DI Alec Hardy in smash-hit crime drama Broadchurch. He also played the equivalent role in the show's US version Gracepoint.

He can next be seen in Marvel's Jessica Jones, as the villainous Kilgrave (AKA the Purple Man), when the show launches on Netflix on 20th November.

Away from acting, David is now married to Georgia Moffet, who played his daughter in Doctor Who but is actually the daughter of previous Doctor Peter Davison in real-life. Wibbly-wobbly family-wamily...
