Doctor Who: Every Doctor's WORST Episode
1. The Tsuranga Conundrum (The Thirteenth Doctor)
Like too many series before it, the Thirteenth Doctor’s run so far has been blessed with few episodes that really stick out as all-time classics.
Forgettable plots, too many companions, and the Doctor’s inconsistent characterisation have dogged Chris Chibnall’s time as showrunner. Here’s hoping that the show can improve soon but until then, here’s The Tsuranga Conundrum.
This episode actually begins with some promise. The Doctor and her companions are trapped on a spaceship with a deadly creature eating through the hull. Time is running out for everyone and so the Doctor must confront this terrifying beast before it’s too late.
And then you actually see the Pting and realise that the build-up was all for nothing. It turns out to be a Stich-like CGI creature about the size of a toddler.
Are we supposed to be scared of this thing or are we meant to laugh at it? The episode doesn’t seem to know either and it’s not long before the monster of the week is unceremoniously booted out of the airlock.
Good riddance. Any chance of some proper monsters soon?
