Appears in: Heaven Sent.

You can't really go wrong with the classic personification of Death look. The Veil is a cross between the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come and the Terminator, a spectral form that literally resembled a slowly thudding torture for the Doctor in his confession dial.

Eventually, it transpires that the Veil was, in fact, trying to help the Doctor escape his hellish Groundhog Day, as per its short story perspective that was published in Doctor Who Magazine 521. Although good luck convincing the Doctor during his imprisonment that a monster who reaches out with frighteningly fatal hands repeatedly over 4.5 billion years only had his best interests at heart.
