Doctor Who: Ranking Every Spin-Off From Worst To Best
10. The Churchill Years
When audio company Big Finish Productions finally got the rights to modern Doctor Who in 2015, they set about making spin-offs featuring characters from the show. You know classic Who characters like... Winston Churchill?
Yes, The Churchill Years follows Ian McNiece's version of the British Prime Minister, as seen in Victory of the Daleks. In that episode, it was established that Winnie and the Doctor were old friends, a concept that this boxset of four stories runs away with. Narrated by McNiece, the stories take place across Churchill's life and feature him meeting the Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh Doctors. Two more obscure guest stars from the show also feature - Danny Horn's Kazran Sardick and Holly Earl's Lily Arwell.
The Churchill Years collects a bunch of solid adventures, but it is undoubtedly one of the most unlikely Who spin-offs out there.
