Doctor Who Series 8: 10 Confirmed Guest Stars

10. Keeley Hawes

BBCBBCRevealed way back on the 14th March, the first major guest star of Doctor Who's eighth series was none other than Keeley Hawes. Most famous for her starring role in Ashes To Ashes, she has also appeared in Line Of Duty, and also provided the voice for Lara Croft in several Tomb Raider games. Somewhat unusually for a cast announcement, the BBC also gave a few bits of information as to her role, with Hawes herself being quoted as saying "'Ms Delphox is a great character and someone I've had a lot of fun playing." Something which became a bit of a precedent for statements however, is information regarding the episode in which she will appear. Although we do not know exactly which episode she will appear in, we do know it was written by Steve Thompson and directed by Douglas Mackinnon. Both have been involved with Doctor Who before, Thompson having written The Curse Of The Black Spot and Journey To The Centre Of The TARDIS, and Mackinnon previously directed The Sontaran Stratagem/The Poison Sky, and series 7's The Power Of Three and Cold War
