Doctor Who's 10 Worst Fashion Faux Pas

7. The Fourth Doctor€™s Colour Coordination Conundrum

In series 18 of Doctor Who, Tom Baker€™s Fourth Doctor sports an outfit to rival all others. It€™s often said that all pieces of an ensemble must €˜go€™ together and many people seem to misunderstand what it means. Indeed it€™s open to interpretation and, strangely enough, the Doctor seems to have taken the term literally and matched every single item in this ensemble to the same alarming shade of burgundy. Kudos to the man for being able to brave the universe in such a deafeningly loud iteration of his classic look, though, but even the most hardened of eccentrics must admit that this is a little much - even for the Doctor€™s tastes. While the overall style of the look is good, some colour variation would've been welcome in order to break up the monotony of all that wine red. Perhaps the wardrobe department were going for something new and interesting, but all they really ended up with was mundane in merlot.
