Emmys 2019: 10 Biggest Shocks And Snubs Of The Night

1. Amy Adams Wins Nothing (Again)

Another year, another awards ceremony where Amy Adams is totally snubbed despite continually putting out some of the most consistent performances across both TV and film. Whether she's on the small screen or the big, awards show wins haven't yet reflected the actor's talents, and at this point she's essentially become the next Leonardo DiCaprio when it comes to performers who keep getting wrongly overlooked.

It was especially frustrating this year, as her lead role in HBO's Sharp Objects acted as a highlight of her entire career. She was phenomenal as troubled reporter Camille Preaker, portraying the nuances of trauma in such a raw, visceral way. The fact the show as a whole received barely any love was already frustrating, but that Adams missed out on her Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie award was another punchline in a long line of award ceremony jokes.

Admittedly, she had stiff competition this year from fellow Hollywood all-stars, like winner Michelle Williams and Patricia Arquette, but it's still frustrating to see her overlooked once again.
