Every 2016 Netflix Exclusive TV Show Ranked Worst To Best

12. The OA (Season 1)

House Of Cards Stranger Things Daredevil
Netflix

Though comparisons to Netflix's smash hit Stranger Things are inevitable, The OA deserves to be recognised on its own merits as a compelling, sometimes challenging mystery series.

Created by star Brit Marling and her frequent collaborator Zal Batmanglij, this is a show best approached with as little prior knowledge as possible: simply know that it revolves around a missing woman (Marling) who resurfaces with a fascinating story to tell.

Though to some the journey won't result in a totally satisfactory climax, Marling and Batmanglij have faith in audiences to be open-minded and follow them along this barmy path. A gorgeous, mysterious slow-burn, it won't be for everyone, but it's at least worth checking an episode out to see if you're initially hooked.
