34. A Million Little Things

A Million Little Things
ABC

A group of friends from Boston all feel stuck in life, for one reason or another, when they receive a wake-up call in the worst possible way: one of them dies. That prompts them to really start living and enjoying life, and to realise that friends are the one thing that can save them from themselves.

The dramedy comes from Growing Up Fisher's D.J. Nash, and stars David Giuntoli, Ron Livingston, Romany Malco, and Allison Miller.

33. The Fix

The Fix ABC
ABC

The Fix (which is slated for a midseason debut) centres on a Los Angeles district attorney whose career is derailed when she loses a high-profile case against an A-list actor, leading her to live the quiet life in Washington for eight years. That's until the same man is a suspect in another case, which lures her back to the courtroom.

There's an added hook in the form of the series' co-writer and executive producer, who is none other than Marcia Clark - the lead prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson murder case. Its creators, meanwhile, are Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain, who worked together on Angel and The Shield.

NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far. A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
