23. Johnny English Strikes Again
...and the fans don't have long to wait to see Johnny English Strikes Again appear on this list either. There is little to pick between the two, both are above average spy spoofs, largely catering to an audience that was onboard from the first film.
This time the plot reflects the changing nature of threats to national security, focusing on cyber attacks and the growing ability of ubiquitous international tech companies to force nations to bend to their will.
As with Rosamund Pike in the previous instalment, the film turns to a former Bond girl, Quantum of Solace's Olga Kurylenko as an infinitely more capable agent who, despite a rocky start with English, proves pivotal in bringing down the villain, and preventing our hero's numerous fits of clumsiness and questionable IQ from completely compromising the mission.
Again, the film would make good profit from a respectable budget, although it should be noted that this return is increasing based on UK audiences, with interest abroad seemingly on the wane.
At the time of writing, it is yet to be seen if the series will remain a trilogy, or if further sequels will be commissioned.
