Falcon & The Winter Soldier: 10 Biggest Takeaways From Episode Two
1. Sam & Bucky Could Become One Of The MCU's Greatest Duos
The MCU is simply littered with incredible, iconic duos, including Steve and Bucky, Steve and Sam, Tony and Rhodey, Natasha and Clint, Thor and Loki, and Rocket and Groot to name just a few. By the end of this Disney+ series, it's entirely possible that Sam and Bucky could make their way near the top of this list.
In the first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the two titular characters were kept apart, not sharing a single scene together. Episode two however, saw them come together, and the sublime chemistry they shared has the potential to carry on past this series in the MCU.
Going back to them being enemies in The Winter Soldier, and reluctant teammates in Civil War, Sam and Bucky certainly have a history, but seeing them almost like squabbling brothers is easily the most entertaining they have been so far.
They can be hilarious, as shown by Bucky getting sick of Redwing, and Sam calling him names, but Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan can also tackle the heavier scenes, like with Isaiah and the police in Baltimore, and their conversation about Steve's legacy in their shared therapy session. At the end of the second episode, the two are seemingly in agreement that they will go their separate ways once the Flag Smashers are dealt with, but this would be a huge waste for the MCU.
