There has been so much talk about the legacy of Steve Rogers and the question of who will take the famous shield, that it is easy to forget that the answer may lead to something of a knock on effect in the superhero world.

If Sam Wilson ultimately takes the Captain America mantle as most seem to believe he will before the series is finished, this will leave the world without a Falcon. While he has certainly not yet had the impact on the world that Steve Rogers has, Sam's role as an Avenger is still big enough that it will need to be filled.

In the comics, once Sam became the new Captain America, he was succeeded as Falcon by Joaquín Torres, a Mexican native who had his DNA mutated with that of Sam's pet, Redwing. If this were to be adapted by the MCU, Torres would have to be given a new origin story, since Redwing is a drone, but this story would make perfect sense.

Along with Miki Ishikawa, Top Gun 2's Danny Ramirez is another who is confirmed to appear with no confirmation as to who he will be playing. It has however been reported that his role will be 'pivotal', and though he is slightly older than Joaquín in the comics, many see him as the perfect man to bring the character to life.
