1. James Woods
You probably guessed who No.1 was by this point having read through this list without once seeing his name, and of course, when it comes to the best guest stars in Family Guy's run, James Woods has to come in first. The actor, who has also appeared in The Simpsons, Disney movie Hercules as Hades and the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, is a frequent guest star on Family Guy. Appearing in numerous episodes, Woods usually serves as the villain to Peter's bungling hero, stealing his identity at one point and also crosses paths with other characters such as Brian. After growing tired of his antics, Peter and co. frequently get rid of them by luring him into an elaborate trap whereby Woods follows a trail of candy before being caught in a wooden box. Woods is apparently killed off in the murder mystery episode "And Then There Were Fewer", but later comes back to life when it was revealed his celebrity status entitled him to "top notch medical care" in season 10.
