Fear The Walking Dead: 10 Questions We’re Asking After 'So Close, Yet So Far'
2. Why Are People Still Doing Stupid Things?
One of the only complaints I've had running through the first two episodes is the fact that people are still doing stupid things, and that is down to the writing of the show. For starters, when the group discover Alicia's boyfriend Matt with a high fever and a huge bite, why don't they ask him how it happened? It's not a big deal. Ask the guy how it happened, so they can understand the situation more. Then there's Travis who couldn't simply explain that Chris' life is in danger while on the phone to Liza, causing drama upon arrival. Then there's Tobias who must have HIS knife. None of the other knives likely waiting in his kitchen. HIS knife, from the creepy abandoned school. And then to top it all off, some guy's driving around with his kids wearing insane, skull-smile masks, because that's what you'd give your child at the beginning of a zombie apocalypse. The show is enjoyable, but it just needs to write a brain into some characters' heads.
