Fear The Walking Dead: 10 Things You Need To Know About The Spin-Off

7. Robert Kirkman's Writing It

Seriously, where does Robert Kirkman find the time? He's contributed a handful of scripts to the main Walking Dead series and remains an executive producer on that, all while penning multiple ongoing comic book series, including the original Walking Dead story that the show is based off of (currently at 136 issues and counting). As if that wasn't enough, he's also credited as the co-writer of this pilot script for The Walking Dead spin-off, alongside Dave Erickson, writer/producer of AMC's failed crime series Low Winter Sun. The latter of which isn't all that encouraging, but who else would you trust to expand the show's universe than the guy who created it? Kirkman brings a number of his trademarks to the Fear The Walking Dead leaked script. For one thing, there's a fair amount of profanity €“ which means that either AMC are going to have to do a lot of editing, or else bleeping. The show is also very family-centric. Even more so than the main series.
